Plano is where our family landed. Dr. Rakesh Lad and Dr. Hasheen Lad were both born in Toronto and their family relocated to Plano, Dr. Hasheen in 1996, where they grew up playing hockey, soccer, basketball, baseball, and football. Treating Plano patients is not an expansion market for us; it is home turf.
Our Legacy Drive office is a straight run north for most of West Plano. From Legacy West or Willow Bend you are looking at roughly ten minutes on the Dallas North Tollway.
The Legacy West desk-injury pattern
Plano's corporate density, Toyota, JPMorgan, Liberty Mutual, and the broader Legacy West build-out, produces a very specific clinical picture that we see constantly. Long hours at a monitor, a commute on either end, and a workout routine that is either nonexistent or aggressive enough to expose everything the desk has been doing.
The presenting complaints are usually neck pain with headaches starting at the base of the skull, burning between the shoulder blades, and a low back that stiffens after sitting. Underneath that, almost invariably, is a thoracic spine that has stopped extending and deep neck flexors that have shut down.
Youth sports across Plano and West Plano
Plano ISD athletics and the club programs around them keep us busy. The overuse injuries we see most are shoulders in volleyball and baseball players, knees in soccer players, and low backs in gymnasts and football linemen.
Our approach with young athletes is to look up and down the chain rather than at the painful spot. A knee that keeps hurting in a Plano club soccer player is almost always a hip that is not controlling rotation, and treating the knee alone guarantees you see them again in three months.
Auto accidents on the Tollway and 121
The Tollway, Sam Rayburn, and the Preston Road corridor generate a steady volume of collisions, and we treat a lot of Plano residents after them. We take digital X-rays on site, document objectively for your claim, and coordinate directly with your attorney if you have one.
Most auto injury patients pay nothing out of pocket, billed through the at-fault driver's liability coverage, your own PIP, or a letter of protection.
