Something most chiropractic offices cannot offer
Seema Lad is a Registered Pharmacist trained at the University of Toronto, a Certified Diabetes Educator, a certified yoga instructor, and a functional nutritionist with a background in compounding pharmacy. Having that expertise in-house changes what we can help with.
Most people take a handful of medications and a drawer full of supplements without anyone having ever looked at the whole list together. Interactions, redundancies, and supplements that actively work against a prescription are extremely common and rarely caught.
What a consultation covers
We look at the full picture: what you eat and when, which supplements you take and whether they are the right form and dose, your current medications and how they interact with each other and with your nutrition, and where inflammation in your diet may be undermining the musculoskeletal care you are receiving.
Chronic pain and chronic inflammation are not separate problems. If your diet is driving a systemic inflammatory load, adjustments and laser will always be working uphill.
CBD and targeted supplementation
We carry professional-grade CBD products used for pain, inflammation, anxiety, and focus, and we will walk you through what the evidence does and does not support rather than overselling it. Critically, because a pharmacist is doing the counseling, we can screen CBD against your current prescriptions for interactions, something a retail shelf cannot do.
The same applies to supplements generally. Quality varies enormously in an unregulated market, and dose and form matter more than the label suggests.

Functional Nutrition & Medication Management: common questions
Do I have to be a chiropractic patient to book a nutrition consult?
No. Nutrition and medication consultations are available on their own, though most patients find the two work well together.
Will you tell me to stop my medications?
Never. We do not prescribe and we do not discontinue prescriptions. That is your physician's decision. What we do is identify potential interactions and gaps and give you the information to have a more productive conversation with your prescriber.
Is CBD legal in Texas?
Hemp-derived CBD products meeting federal THC thresholds are legal in Texas. We carry products that are third-party tested so you know precisely what is in them.
