Your body is changing faster than it can adapt
Pregnancy asks an enormous amount of a spine in a short window. Your center of gravity moves forward, your lumbar curve deepens to compensate, your abdominal wall stretches and can no longer support the low back the way it did, and relaxin loosens every ligament in your pelvis to prepare for delivery.
That combination is why so many women develop low back pain, sciatic pain down one leg, pubic symphysis pain, or a deep ache in the sacroiliac joints somewhere in the second trimester, and why it usually gets worse, not better, as the pregnancy goes on.
Care built around a pregnant body
We use tables with adjustable pieces that accommodate a growing belly so you can lie face down comfortably well into the third trimester, something most expecting mothers assume is impossible. Technique is modified throughout: lower force, no rotational moves through the abdomen, and careful attention to pelvic alignment.
The goal is a pelvis that is balanced and symmetrical. When the pelvis is level and the surrounding ligaments are not under uneven tension, there is simply more room, and mothers consistently report both less pain and more comfort in the final weeks.
Postpartum matters too
The fourth trimester gets ignored. You have ligaments that are still lax, a core that needs to be rebuilt deliberately, and you are now spending hours a day feeding, carrying, and lifting a baby in postures that punish the neck and mid-back.
We help mothers rebuild through that phase, restoring pelvic alignment after delivery, addressing the upper back and neck strain that comes with nursing, and progressing core work in a way that respects diastasis recti rather than making it worse.

Conditions we use this for
Back Pain
The most common reason people find us, and one of the most treatable, once you know what is actually causing it.
Sciatica
Shooting pain from the low back into the leg is a nerve problem, and treating the muscle it runs through will never solve it.
Hip Pain
Stiff, weak hips do not stay a hip problem for long. They hand their workload to the low back and the knees.
Neck Pain
Your head weighs about twelve pounds, and every inch it drifts forward multiplies the load your neck has to hold all day.
Prenatal & Pregnancy Chiropractic: common questions
Is chiropractic safe during pregnancy?
Yes. Chiropractic care is widely considered safe throughout pregnancy when technique is modified appropriately, and it is one of the few drug-free options available to you for musculoskeletal pain. We will coordinate with your OB or midwife any time that is helpful.
How will I lie on the table with a belly?
Our tables have adjustable sections that drop away to create room, so most patients can lie face down comfortably into the third trimester. When that stops being comfortable, we adjust you in a side-lying position instead.
When should I start care?
Any time. Starting in the first trimester means we address restrictions before the mechanical load peaks, but plenty of patients find us at 30-plus weeks in significant pain and still get real relief.
Can chiropractic help with a breech baby?
Chiropractic care does not turn babies. What it addresses is pelvic and ligament balance, and some patients pursue care with the hope that a more balanced pelvis gives the baby room to move on its own. We are careful not to overpromise here and we always work in coordination with your OB or midwife.
